REVIEW: Fu Manchu, Clapham

Fu Manchu; a cool-ass venue with pretty awesome food. It may be full of Clapham-ites (soz guys) but proves to be a good evening all round. From 10pm the DJ starts blasting feel-good dance beats which entices you into the danced floor post gouging yourself on the best dim sum this side of the sea - and that's a quote.

The food varies in quality from dish to dish but the chef proves to have a deft hand at dim sum- especially the steamed. The green goodness of the scallop and xxx steamed star dumpling was quite impressive, whilst the pork and crab meat dumplings sprayed their delicious sauce across most of my face and clothing. #fail. The minced beef and Chinese leaf in crispy buns have a tasty update on the classic bao whilst the mutton puff cleared our plate nicely.
Would I head back to Fu Manchu? Absolutely- mostly for the eat as much as you like Sunday's. Stuff your face for £19.50? Fuck yeah.
